Eating in Restaurants That Call Your Name
When I am in public, I don’t really like to draw attention to myself. I enjoy playing the role of spectator and enjoy watching the
behavior of others and maybe take something I see and develop it into a character in my writings. However, I often find myself eating in cafes and restaurants that call your name when your order is ready. Which Wich is probably one of my favorites for this…at which wich, your write your name on the bag they are using to build your ‘wich and then call it out when it’s ready.
Names that make employees uncomfortable are Sweet Pea, Sugar Britches, and Baby Doll. My wife and I usually pick a theme from a show. Names that usually get a chuckle or at least amuse us are: Greg and Marsha, Rudy and Theo, Jerry and Elaine. Sometimes we use lesser known characters like Cappie and Casey or Veronica and Logan. Get creative and have fun next time your out in a place like this…
