Whataweekend!
Two parties and 5 days out of town! As you can see it was a Whataburger weekend!
yep..it's about that time….Part 2
So after work last night I drove home and changed out of my daily monkey suit. I headed back downtown and got to see several old friends. It was nice, hadn’t been out or very social lately. The show was being held at an all ages club downtown that doesn’t allow smoking or drinking inside. I was on the list (because that’s how I roll) and then got searched for “contraband” by the security lady who said “empty your pockets and hold your hands out” then she pointed at everything in my hand and yelled “WHAT’S THAT…phone…WHAT’S THAT…mp3 player..WHAT’S THAT…ear plugs…WHAT!!!…earplugs?…K, go on.” Once inside the teen club reeked of Axe, B.O., and Clearasil. My friend was sell the merchandise and I’d go in and watch the shitty bands play then go back out and talk to him between merch rushes by the kids.
The quote of the night had to be from a kid not over 14 or 15 and from the sound of it, a late bloomer…”dude that’s bullshit, I gave you a cigarette after school today…remember?”
After the show we just hung out on the bus and caught up and watched funny youtube videos and then I left a little after midnight since they were rolling out a 1am to the next city. They had partied for one of their birthday’s the night before (and I’m not really drinking these days anyway) so it was pretty chill, but still a good time.
The show itself was pretty good, I felt really old, but could appreciate the kids who came out on a school night and got their skank on.
Geis‘ tip jar was one of the highlights.
I went home and fell asleep within 20 minutes of my arrival only two be woken up by Eazy at 5am when he attacked my feet and demanded food.
