See that wasn't painful?

I got a call today from my Mom, whose first comment was “we’ve got a problem, or rather…YOU have a problem.” OK, I’m thinking, what kind of problem could I possibly have that a> she would know about, or b> she would find it necessary to call me in the middle of the day to yell at me about?

Apparently she was looking at an itinerary that I emailed her about 2 months ago for a future trip and called to tell me that the flight left this morning and that I had booked it on the wrong day. .. “oh, well that’s not good” followed by silence…(Mom is yelling in my ear telling me I had better straighten this out)…followed by a loud (“ALRIGHT!!! I’LL TAKE CARE OF IT……………..MOM!” (CLICK).

Now, i wasn’t really mad or upset…there wasn’t much I could change the fact that I wasn’t on a flight that I didn’t need to be on….so I called the airline and told the lady what I had done and she said she’d put us on the same flights for the time when I needed….then asks “there? that wasn’t painful now was it?” I was like wheeew!…”no it wasn’t, thanks.” She then says…”the difference is $360, how would you like to charge?” ……..”uh what?”

How do you go from “see that’s not painful” to “$360 please?”

Luckily they refunded the flight and i was able to go online and rebook the flight at the online rate and the mistake didn’t cost anything after all.

I did book the hotel for the right date..

Back to Work

I’m waking up at the moment and trying to get my brain fired up to head back in to the office for the first time in 9 days. My vacation was wonderful. I had put if off long enough and didn’t want to lose 5 days so I took them and will be carrying over 5 more days into next year that I’ll use before Halloween. I went home for a few days and then spend a day visiting with my brother and then a couple more with someone over the weekend. I have no complaints other than how fast time flies. I played golf, went fishing, went swimming, went to the lake, laughed alot and spent quality time with friends and family…vacations are highly underrated. I guess I should be getting ready to head back to the Cubescent World I work in.

Photo is from my adventure back through the woods from fishing one night.
