Goodbye Facebook
I have taken the first step in taking my life back. I have deactivated my Facebook profile and do not plan on reactivating it. It
stopped being fun years ago, actually. While it’s been nice reconnecting with a few people from my past, it was typically alot of rambling bullshit that I really didn’t care about. I’m still doing “the twitter” but pretty much done with FB. While I agree it can be used as a great marketing tool, database for marketers, and does benefit me professionally (so I’ll still manage that aspect because it pays), it does very little for me personally. My friends have my email and phone number…and it’s not like I’m unreachable.
I”m going to re-dedicate myself to writing and music and try and regain the creativity using the time I was pissing away on Facebook. I’m confident I’ll gain more satisfaction from that. Is that selfish? Maybe, but it’s not as narcissistic as most people are on FB.
So long FB!
Wasted time is exactly that…and I’d rather waste mine doing something I enjoy.
