Chronic Complainers!

As I may or may not have mentioned in earlier posts, I received a promotion at the end of 2007 and was moved to another part of the building. Because there were not any offices available to put me in, I have been placed in a nice sized works space which is actually great, but it is located very close to our Marketing Associates (telemarketers) and customer service specialists (who are assigned to customers the org. feels need special attention). I analyze data and pull reports all day which may sound boring to most, but I find very challenging and interesting. The hardest part of my job isnt’s tuning out the ones around me making phone calls all day and giving pitches and providing information, but it’s those who do that job and then spend 5-10 minutes between each call turning around and complaining to others about the call they were just on….whining about this that and the other. For those of you who deal with customers on a regular basis, we all know that some can be difficult and grumpy and so on….but you take care of the problem, do your best to use that empowerment to satisfy the customer and move on. The people around you that you’re sharing your recent phone call issues with have their own, move on with their day and frankly they don’t give a sh*t about yours! So instead of wasting 1/3 of your day and everyone else’s by complaining…take that time to get up and enjoy a nice cup of shut the f*ck up!
