I got a new workspace today
I finally got a new place to work in our office today! After more than a year of sitting in a call center room with people making and receiving tons
of calls they have decided to move me out of there. I can’t imagine why they haven’t done this in the past? Probably because I write reports and deal with numbers all day and actually have to concentrate on what I’m doing. That’s why I’d put someone like that to work and sit them in the call center. No more bitching about this! The silence was deafening and I was able to concentrate and focus on what I was doing for a much longer period of time before my ADD kicked in. I have workspace, cabinets and drawers that lock, it’s wonderful.
Does this mean that OfficeMan will be sunshine and daisies in all of his blogs (that he writes in 3rd person)?….
No! I work there tomorrow, but will not be back in the office until Tuesday. I’m thinking by a week from today I’ll have plenty of new cynicism to share with my two readers. Alas! A new workspace is the Sh*t!
yep..it's about that time….

It’s a little after 5 again and I have a little time to post for a few minutes. Today started out nice and refreshing. I woke up happy, the weather was wonderful, and I saw the light at the end of my data tunnel here at the office…and then I got here. I quickly resorted to my headphones after immediately hearing some bitching and moaning. Starting the day out like that doesn’t fly well with me. I got through a stack of work and met up with my uncle who has an office about 2 blocks from me and we hit a NY Pizzeria. House of Pizza is always a favorite of mine and then we stopped by Walgreen’s for an ice cream sandwich before heading back to our offices.
Once I got back to the office I finished some more work and searched the web for off the wall news and stories to link up to from the website. Oh yeah, last night I accomplished half of my goals. I got one of the tires on my bike, but still have to get the other one on…that will happen tonight once I get home. (enough of my ADD moment) Last night I spent about 2 hours or so on the website for The Lowbrow Society. The site that’s up now is a starter site and the new one will be much better and have tons more content. I’m not really trying to drive anyone to the site yet, but just prepping it to be optimized for the search engines. I have some pretty cool plans for it and hope it works out how I’d like it to.
Just found out a few minutes ago that a friend of mine is on tour with a band who is playing here tonight so I’m going to stop by and visit with him for a while. That gets me out of going to a party upstairs here at the office. I’m just really tired of being in this building by the end of the day sometimes and need to get out more.
I can assure you though, more exciting blogs will follow soon. I might even have one by the time I get back from the show tonight.

My day wasn’t too exciting. I went to lunch with a friend of mine and we ate in what I’m pretty sure was the 3rd smokiest place in town behind The Villager and Springwater (which is a toss-up as to which place old smoke goes to die.) You can’t smoke indoors here anymore unless it is an establishment that serves 21+. I got back from lunch and stopped by to see another lady I work with who was telling me that her youngest son is a bartender in a very nice hotel here in town. She and her husband stopped by for a drink and to say hi to him and she told me that Lil’ Jon was at the other end of the bar with a bodyguard and 2 other people…she obviously didn’t know who Lil’ Jon was because as she kept trying to tell me the story I’d interrupt her with “WHAT?!” and then finally ad an “OHHKAAAYYY!!” she just kept repeater herself and totally didn’t get it.
Now I’m home and need to go put my road tires on my mountain bike so I can get it ready for some action on the streets around my place.
Have a good night!
